lcp has been working with Civic Edge Consulting and the Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) on an outreach campaign for various merchant groups along key San Francisco commercial corridors. The “Open for Business” campaign serves to mitigate construction along these corridors and provide merchant groups with the appropriate communication and marketing support to keep their businesses viable during construction. Our joint effort included templated marketing plans for neighborhoods, and a comprehensive print/digital “kit-of-parts” which included advertising, retail signage, construction barricades, social media content and graphics, web support services, skill building classes, and event planning services. lcp has completed work along seven corridors in San Francisco including Taravel, Castro, Haight, Lower Polk, Upper and Middle Polk, West Portal, and Van Ness. Several of these corridors required close collaboration and coordination with other city agencies involved in the infrastructure projectsm, including SFMTA and San Francisco Public Works.
